A compassionate, collaborative approach
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and the founder of Dockside Christian Counseling on the Eastside in the Greater Seattle area. I work with adults, couples, and teens who are navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, life transitions, grief, self-esteem concerns, codependency, and recovery from domestic abuse.
My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based care. I primarily use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) while integrating Solution-Focused Therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). Together, these approaches can help clients understand unhelpful patterns, develop practical tools, build healthier perspectives, and create lasting emotional growth.
I believe that while we cannot change the past, we can learn from it, heal from it, and move forward with greater resilience and post-traumatic growth.
For clients who desire it, I offer Christian counseling and thoughtfully integrate faith into the counseling process while honoring each person’s individual beliefs and goals. Clients do not need to be Christian to work with me. My goal is to create a welcoming and respectful environment for every person who enters counseling.
Training and experience
I hold a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology and a Master of Arts in Christian Leadership from Fuller Theological Seminary, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Speech Communication from the University of Washington. My professional experience includes counseling with New Ground Counseling and contributing as a counseling editor for Living Loved Today.
Referrals are welcome
I welcome referrals from physicians, churches, schools, attorneys, employee assistance programs, and fellow mental health professionals seeking compassionate, high-quality care for adults, couples, and teens in Washington State.
